IS·MO CULTURA

is a Galician cultural association that creates frameworks for the development of dance and movement. Through festivals, artistic support programmes, professional platforms, training initiatives, outreach projects and internationalisation initiatives, we promote projects that strengthen the dance ecosystem in Galicia and foster connections between artistic creation, the local area and the public.

WHAT WE DO

We design and develop projects that address the diverse needs of the dance sector: creation, performance, training, artistic support, outreach, research, internationalisation and professional networking. We work to generate opportunities, drive new initiatives and contribute to the development of the artistic and cultural fabric.

We work through collaboration between artists, institutions, public authorities, organisations and local communities. We are committed to long-term processes, the exchange of knowledge and projects that combine artistic excellence, participation, innovation and cultural impact.

WHY WE DO IT

Because we see dance as a tool for building community, stimulating thought and transforming people’s relationship with culture. We believe that strengthening the sector involves supporting creative practitioners, fostering spaces for people to come together, and ensuring that dance plays an increasingly prominent role in society.

IS·MO is a dynamic structure. It does not operate as a closed organisation, but rather as a network of collaborations that comes together around each project. Each initiative brings together professionals specialising in production, communication, administration, outreach, technical support, design, research or artistic creation, forming specific teams according to the needs of each context.​​​​
