Minguantes Is a piece that deepens in the temporary universe of two individuals that go ageing. Bodies that cross the way of the changes where all seems to go faster that of habit and where already run perhaps is not an option. Another galaxy expects you. From a perspective minimalist and futuristic, presents to the body like machine of engine irremplaceable, gears with date of caducity, failures in the operating system, the eternal debate between wanting to and can, and in them the firm wish to continue. What less than could do is, detain to contemplate the world, the more than want to is to follow walking.

Proserpina is the goddess of spring. Condemned to march to Hades every year in the fall, the world grows darker. But when he returns to his mother, everything is filled with flowers and life again, favoring the arrival of light and color. As an analogy with the myth of Proserpina, our lives develop between periods of light and darkness, at the will of the natural cycles that condition the future of our existence.
“Proserpina. I don't remember what I was like at the beginning, when I hardly knew anything. But my feeling is that it was spring.
I remember better why I stopped being like that... when I learned more things.
Now I don't recognize myself".

Fragile and heavy, the body manifests its vulnerability and its abandonment in diverse spaces where it transits in search of new encounters, new ways of perceiving an environment in which time and its materiality inhabit and undergo changes of state.
Marcelo and Lemia were the winners of the Sólodos En Danza Costa Rica Festival Contest in 2020, the last edition that, by COVID-19, the contest was held. In 2023, this touring project between two continents is resumed and thanks to which we will be able to enjoy the duo work of Marcelo and Lemia.

The characters and events portrayed in this dance piece are completely fictitious. Except for all the parts that are totally true.
Colectivo La Incendiaria was the company chosen to be supported biannually, so since the presentation of the creation process at the 2022 Abanea Festival in A Casa Vella, constant support and monitoring of the process was carried out, which culminates with the premiere in Allariz in Abanea 2023.

It is said that we Westerners count time, measure it, buy it, sell it, plan it and organize it; for us it is an objective good, independent of the human being, that we use to do things, but we almost always lack it. On the other hand, in Africa time is lived, it is had, it is made; it is a subjective good and inherent to the human being, which is inhabited and almost never lacks. The fact of being born in a specific place in the world inevitably marks the notion we have of time, and although nothing is set in stone, we will hardly manage to get rid of that first acquired notion. Time can be lived in many ways, including being a slave to it; but what cannot be denied, and this is valid for any corner of the world, is the power that dance gives us, whatever its origin, genre or condition, to live time in an absolute present.
